2 ka Dum -calendar creates awareness about Childhood Diarrhea Management using effective combination of ORS and Zinc tablet. The Calendar as IEC tool promotes what is to be done in diarrhea and steps needed to prevent diarrhea among children under age 5. Primary Message: • Procedure to make ORS solution during Diarrhea • How to make zinc solution (for children of 2-6 months age) for 14 days when suffering from Diarrhea. • How to make zinc solution (for children of 6-59 months age) for 14 days when suffering from Diarrhea. • Breastfeeding should be continued even in diarrhea among breast-fed baby. • Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after any contact with faeces, before touching or preparing food, and before feeding children.
