Note: As on 7th January 2020, a new strain of Coronavirus was identified. The virus has been renamed by WHO as SARS-CoV-2 and the disease caused by it as COVID-19. Risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) will be the mainstay for containment of COVID-19. This Radio PSA /caller tune has been developed for the general public in all 36 states and union territories in India and activated across 22 telecom sectors in India. The caller tune reminds the public that the fight is against the ailment of coronavirus and not the ailing. It requests people to take care of those affected and not discriminate against them. It also reminds us to respect and support our front line workers like doctors, healthcare workers, sanitation workers, police officers, and others. It also provides the central helpline number 1075 and local helpline number which is to be contacted for more information.
