As on 7th January 2020, a new strain of Coronavirus was identified. The virus has been renamed by WHO as SARS-CoV-2 and the disease caused by it as COVID-19. On 28 February 2020, WHO increased its risk assessment of COVID-19 to very high at global and regional levels. Risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) will be the main stay for containment of COVID-19. This Radio PSA /caller tune has been developed for general public in Delhi NCR, UP (WEST), Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Goa. It provides important messages on staying indoors, precautions to be taken when stepping out for essential needs, social distancing, handwashing and contacting state helplines in case of cough, fever or difficulty in breathing.
