Synopses: As part of this game the process of making a village open defecation free has been explained. The participants are required to organise pictorial cards to show the characteristics of two villages. The first village is open defecation free where community members use toilets, while other village where people defecate in the open has high prevalence of diarrhea. Some of the qualities of a open defecation free village depicted in the game are as follows. • People have a healthy habit of using toilets regularly • This keeps the environment in the village clean • Reduced transmission of infections • Toilets are safer for women and children to use especially during the night • Toilets are safer for elderly to use specifically in rainy season • This reduces financial burden on the families Suggested Audience: Parents, care givers, ANM, ASHA, AWW and community members.
