Uttar Pradesh Flyers on COVID-19
As on 7th January 2020, a new strain of Coronavirus was identified. The virus has been renamed by WHO as SARS-CoV-2 and the disease caused by it as COVID-19. On 28 February 2020, WHO increased its risk assessment of COVID-19 to very high at global and regional levels. Risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) will be the main stay for containment of COVID-19. These flyers on COVID-19 disease have been developed for 1) ASHAs, 2) Gram Panchayats, 3) Schools and 4) Steps of handwashing and are approved by the Uttar Pradesh Department of Health and Family Welfare. These flyers discuss 4 important talking points along with roles and responsibilities of the target audiences towards COVID-19 response.
