This is an advocacy brochure, developed by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, with UNICEF support. This provides at a glance introduction to Information and Education Communication (IEC), in the context of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Phase II. It provides an orientation on the IEC objectives and key messages of the SBM II, and the key actions that can bring about improved Solid and Liquid Waste Management (SLWM). It also gives information on how the capacities of stakeholders at different levels (state, district, front line) can be enhanced to contribute to improved SLWM.
