It recommends proper care to be taken during pregnancy by regularly going for Antenatal Care (ANC) check-ups, intake of Iron-Folic Acid (IFA) Tablet, a healthy and nutritious diet, good personal hygiene and sanitation practices. Danger signs to look out for during pregnancy are highlighted and birth preparedness checklist such as transportation, identification of hospital and blood donor and keeping ready clean clothes for mother and child are included in the leaflet. Postpartum (after birth) care of mother and child such as colostrum feeding, thermal care, immunization as per MCP card are some steps if taken will ensure a healthy mother and child and a happy family.
