This short Film talks about the functionality and vision of the Rashtriya Bal Swashthya Karyakaram also Known as RBSK, launched in 2013 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the National Health Mission.RBSK aims to provide comprehensive early screening and management of health condition for children from the birth till the age of 18 yrs.RBSK programme aimed at screening children for 4 Ds - Defects at birth, Diseases, Deficiencies and Development Delays including Disabilities. Under the programme, children diagnosed with illnesses would receive follow up treatment including surgeries at the tertiary level, free of cost under the National Health Mission (NHM). Screening of the newborns, both at the public health facilities and at the community level, is an important strategy under the RBSK programme. Regular health screening of pre-school children up to six years of age utilizing Anganwadis as a platform by the Mobile Health Teams (MHT) is another essential component.
