This toolkit, developed for the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, provides an introduction toFaecal Sludge Management (FSM), proper septic tank emptying and cleaning, and guidelines for implementation of FSM under Swachh Bharat Mission Phase II. The purpose of this document is to provide step by step guidance to district, block and panchayat level functionaries around the planning, implementing and monitoring around FSM.
